When traveling to Hawai'i, no matter which island you choose, be prepared for a long day! Especially when visiting from New York..

Our trip began on J's birthday! Starting at 4am when we headed to the airport for our 6am flight to Chicago. We had a short layover before heading to Denver, where we took full advantage of celebrating J's birthday at one of the fine bars in the terminal.

Unfortunately, our flight was delayed causing us to miss our connection which in turn made us miss our flight to Kaua'i. Thankfully we were rerouted to Oahu when we had another short layover before finally making our destination.

No matter, Honolulu airport has a fine bar with lots of local brews on tap as well!

A little later than expected we arrived in Kaua'i! Greeted by an awesome band which picking up our luggage and vehicle.
